The one I got seems to be about $390 and it seems the other one is about $775. Obviously there must be some price difference on the boards. I bought this machine based on the proper graphics card. I then had a look at the stlip for the repair and noticed that the part number is 42W7651. Help with Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family My problem is next: I had Windows Vista on my HP dv6000 laptop for like couple of years, so two days ago I've installed Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit. It says "mobile intel 965 express chipset family" in device manager. Received it back and now when I turn it on I noticed that the graphics card is different. I assumed that they would replace my motherboard with the exact same one. Please use specifications from the compatibility list to confirm processor's part number before ordering. In some cases our guess may be incorrect. I received a quote from Lenovo for the repair and accepted without really checking up on the part number. To determine part numbers for the Intel GME965 Express chipset, we use best guess approach based on CPU model, frequency and features. From what I could see on the lenovo specs when I do a warranty lookup the machine came with part number 42W7653. All due I would assume to the darn NVidia cards overheating. Actual TDP may be lower if not all I/Os for chipsets are used.I've got a T61p that is out of warranty, and as Murphy would have it the motherboard needs to be replaced.
